[»] The best
by Gear7 - Nov 29th 2007 01:09:28

Maybe I shouldn't claim it is the best since it's the only thing I've used, but so far it leaves me with nothing else to be desired.

Being an avid web developer, I swear by this program. The ease of being able to manage your mysql database for data insert and manipulation is definately a blessing.

[»] phpMyAdmin Tutorial (MIME-Transformations, Relations, PDF)
by garvinhicking - Aug 6th 2003 02:10:39

I finished writing a tutorial about some advanced phpMyAdmin facilities. It's about how to create relations, set up PDF pages and how to expandably use the MIME-Transformations (viewing pictures, rewriting column comments).

As I have heard of many PMA users who are not aware of that extra-functionality, I wanted to give an easy way of doing so in this tutorial.

If you are interested, please have a look at http://www.garvinhicking.de/tops/texte/mimetutorial and don't hesitate to give some feedback.

I hope you like it!

[»] New domain name
by Loic - Apr 9th 2002 08:42:13

The phpMyAdmin project has now its own domain name: www.phpmyadmin.net, and this is the only valid one.
It currently points to the phpMyAdmin welcome page at SourceForge.

Please update your bookmarks!

[»] Searching translators
by Loic - Apr 2nd 2002 11:24:39

Hi All!

Some of the translations of the phpMyAdmin script needs a big update:
- Arabic;
- Chinese (gb charset);
- Korean;
- Thai.

If you know enough one of these languages and can do this work, please tell us the good news (at the "phpMyAdmin-translators" mailing-list or at the "translation" tracker you can found at our SF account) and start it.

It would be really nice if these translations can be completed before the next official release (one or two weeks from now).

Thanks in advance for the help,

[»] Major improvement
by Vijay Avarachen - Nov 23rd 2001 05:07:43

I was previously using MyPHPadmin2.2.0 and I was not all that impressed. I didn't like the fact that I was able to see other databases even though I didn't have right to them, the interface was not so good..etc. But forget that...ver 2.2.2 kick major butt! I mean the interface is just way too nicer than previous...the configuration file seems to have more options (which i haven't looked into yet)...and when you access a db you get a whole lot more options such as running a query ...optimizing tables...and much much more. THIS IS A MUST HAVE IF YOU PLAN TO USE MySQL. Forget all those cheesy gui's out there...this is the real deal! Guys I cannot thank you enough on this commendable job. =) please keep up the good work! Sincerely V

[»] Adding Multiples Listings
by Travis - Nov 5th 2001 01:03:03

On tbl_change.php, the 'Add Listing' page, I think it would be very convenient to have, in addition to the the 'Save' button, a 'Save & Insert' button to add your listing and then take you immediately back to the 'Add Listing' page. This would be of great benefit when adding multiple listings at once. It would, of course, reduce the number of necessary "clicks" by half.

    Hi Travis! Checks the 2.2.2-rc1 version we released yesterday: your suggestion is one of the enhancements against 2.2.1 it contains.

[»] Timing
by T-h-i-j-s - Oct 31st 2001 17:39:29

I think it would be nice to have the time an SQL Query takes printed with the results. I t will be very convenient for optimizing your queries.
