About:
Email sends email to remote SMTP servers via the
command line, which makes it useful in cron jobs.
It will send to any RFC standard remote ESMTP
server, is TLS/SSL enabled, and will allow you to
encrypt, sign, and design your message on the fly.
It has the capability to use signature files with
dynamic options, address book functionality, and
users can also attach pictures, binary files,
documents, or whatever they want. It is completely
compatible with GNUPG for encryption and signing,
and is easy to configure and use.
Release focus: Minor bugfixes
Changes:
The twirling icon was removed from the progress bar. New error messages have been added to the SOCKET interface. "errnum" is set with errno if an error has occured. A new function allows retrieval with the wrapper function to strerror(). send_data() has been reworked to read bigger chunks of data so that multiple calls to sputc (essentially write()) don't have to be used. This was left over from a debug session. A space has been added between MAIL FROM: and RCPT TO: commands due to this being an issue with some email servers. Users can specify --with-utc during configure to let them use UTC time.
