XMLTV is a set of programs to obtain and process TV (tvguide) listings and manage your TV viewing. It stores the listings in an XML-based format and most of the programs are filters which read and/or write XML. It includes tools to obtain, sort, grep, print, and munge listings, and two end-user programs to plan a week's TV viewing.

Sounds great!! I was never really satisfied with
Digiguide's performance under WINE, but this looks
like a similar proggy that's native to Linux... in which
case it's most welcome!

One little drawback, I can't seem to connect to the
website for it... any mirrors?

> Linux... It's not nearly as slick as Digiguide... OTOH it is in Perl, uses plain text (or XML) data files, and works with Unix pipes :-). In other words, it's probably better than Digiguide's app if you are comfortable with a command line.

Thanks for the info....

I'm fine with the command line. Obviously it'd be nice if someone would write a GUI :) It shouldn't be too much of a problem, since the prog uses XML... it's just a matter of finding the time!
