About:
MAGIC-SMTPD is a drop-in replacement for Dan Bernstein's qmail-smtpd, and was originally designed to be part of the LinuxMagic Magic Mail Server. This opensource version has been released to allow others to benefit from its anti-spam components, and valid user checking to reduce server loads and spam volumes. It is designed to support stock qmail installations, qmail/vpopmail installations, and database connectivity. Designed for ISP service, this will work for all mail servers large and small.

Docs have now been much improved, and this is now
available as a Beta Release Candidate. If you
had problems before, try it out now. And earlier
comment about not being helpful, please post to
the magicmail-users@linuxmagic.com for help. It's
all opensource, so nothing to hide :)
Please test and let us know if any problems
arise.

[»] manpages for magic-smtpd-0.7.0 and former
by sseitz - Jun 13th 2003 13:51:10

Hi!

I'm currently using magic-smtd on a productive system, but i can't get all of the features.
Especially, i'm trying to block whole countries (TW, CN, JP). Mails from out of these countries are pretty useless in nearly all cases in europe.
I tried to setup country_blacklist, but it's not recognized by magic-smtpd.
Is anyone using this feature ?
And - are there any doc's about this package around ?
LinuxMagic is not very helpful, i think they're trying to keep the knowledge of this open-source-port closed.

Now, i'm running the latest 0.7.1 release, but my problem (discribed above) has not been solved, country_code_prog is executed, but it seems to me that the result is discarded.

Please try a later version, country code has now
been builtin to the code, rather than being
      called as an external program
